Ribeye and the River

This weekend was pretty fun for the Reese's. Saturday started off with having Holly over for a yummy breakfast. After filling our tummies, Holly, Brianna, and Jacob headed off for a stroll at the farmer's market. Jacob and I try to go at least twice a month, our favorite part of the market is the popcorn, it's delicious! Then the three of us headed over to check out the pet adoptions, another weekend tradition Jacob and I like to do, where we almost adopted another dog. Every weekend we find a new dog that would make a great playmate for Ribeye and we are always really close to filling out the paperwork, but thankfully our heads catch up and we hold off. After saying goodbye to Holly Jacob and I loaded Ribeye into the car and set off for the river. We took a nice drive around the Mesilla Park area before heading over to the Rio Grande. Once we made it to the river we left Ribeye off his leash. Withing 15 minutes he'd already jumped into the water! We never thought he'd actually get in, but I guess the brown murkiness was just too tempting for our daring dog. He was having so much fun though we couldn't be too mad, that is until he tried to dry himself off on me! We took a nice stroll along the river until he was mostly dry and then headed back home.

We spent the rest of the afternoon watching movies and putting laundry away. Saturday night we headed over to Bryan and Melissa's with Wii in hand for a night of steaks and games. Layla was as cute as ever and spent alot time with me on the couch while we watched everyone else play MarioKart. Sunday was basically a relaxing day. After church we took a nap and then watched the Oscars and ate some Ben & Jerry's. That about sums up our weekend! I think next weekedn we're going to go hiking!
